Sarah Mc Guire and Sarah Watchorn met 18 years ago whilst teaching together in a special reading school. They worked endlessly trying to find the most effective approach to teach students with dyslexia how to read before creating their own programme. The Reading Academy journey began in September 2015 when Sarah and Sarah opened reading centres. They went on to create a training course for teachers. More than 235 children have benefitted from The Reading Academy programme. 22 teachers have been trained and the company has gone from 2 to 4 reading centres across the country. The Reading Academy are currently part of the Microsoft for Startups programme https://startups.microsoft.com/
