Digi2Market has developed a Green Business Model framework that can be utilised to analyse the green business developments. Through the framework Digi2Market can assist businesses to examine environmental aspects and impacts of their actions through resources, emissions and waste in all stages of the business: supply, production, sales and delivery. (Ibid.) The framework includes also a self-assessment tool to help businesses review their actions also on their own.

Knowledge on the business performance and products and services is essential for establishing any background for further development activities. Therefore, the process starts with generic environmental review of businesses. Cases, that require more in-depth knowledge on the environmental aspects and impacts of products and services, can also apply Life Cycle Analyses theory and methods.

In addition, understanding on the business objectives and strategy is needed to develop any green business activities – such as green growth strategies basing on environmentally better and more sustainable products and processes.

For the business development, we advise to use <a href="https://interaction.net.au/articles/business-model-canvas-template/">Business Model Canvas</a> (Osterwalder &amp; Pineur 2010) as a tool to develop green business model. In more broad manner sustainable business models considering the <a href="https://ec.europa.eu/growth/industry/sustainability/corporate-social-responsibility_en">Corporate Social responsibility</a> aspects (Obst 2015).
